This 3-dimensional motion model exhibits the manipulation of space-time, described in the theory proposed by Miguel Alcubierre in 1994. When space contracts at the front of a ship or object and expands in the back, the object will ride this ripple in space-time to faster-than-light speeds, illustrated here as a lateral transition of the wave form across the central axis.
